Filmetrics film thickness gauge for automotive lighting industry solutions

In the car light processing industry, if the car light is not treated after molding and directly installed on the car, its surface is prone to scratches and damage, affecting the lighting performance of the car. To prevent such damage, current car light processing factories often spray or dip a layer of hard coating on the surface of the car light fixture to protect the car light surface. The thickness of the hard coating needs to be strictly controlled. If the hard coating is too thick, the coating cost will relatively increase, and if the coating is too thin, the anti damage effect will be weakened. Moreover, in practical applications, it has been found that the hard coating applied to the PC resin substrate of car lights may peel off over time. Therefore, after the hard coating is applied, a new process is added to cure the lamp with the hard coating at high temperature. The purpose of this process is to increase the bonding between the hard coating and the lamp substrate PC. After high temperature treatment, the part of the hard coating in contact with the PC substrate will penetrate into the PC resin substrate, which will increase the bonding force between the hard coating and the substrate PC resin substrate, so that the hard coating will not easily peel off. However, for the thickness of infiltration, manufacturers need to strictly monitor it. If there is too much infiltration, the hardening coating on the surface will be relatively reduced, resulting in waste of hardening materials and reduced hardening effect. If there is too little infiltration, it will not increase the bonding effect.
On the inner surface of the car lights, anti fog treatment is also required. A layer of anti fog layer will be applied to the inner surface to prevent fogging on the inner wall of the car lights, which will affect the lighting effect.
The Filmetrics film thickness gauge F10-HC model can measure the thickness of hardened coatings, permeable layers, and anti fog coatings. It has been widely used in many automotive lighting industries. Our customers include: Koito Automotive Lighting, Jiangsu Tongming High tech Automotive Electrical Co., Ltd., Linhai Xuanjin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., Damao Weishitong Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd., Gerhan Automotive (Dongguan) Co., Ltd., Dongguan Zhicheng Rubber Products Co., Ltd., Maitu High tech Materials, Tengcang Huacheng, etc.

Filmetrics testing application:
(1) Thickness measurement of dura mater
(2) Thickness measurement of dura mater and permeation layer
(3) Thickness measurement of anti fog layer
