The KLA iMicro is a flexible, compact modular nanomechanical characterization platform designed for quantitative nanoscale mechanical analysis of thin films, hard protective coatings and miniature material specimens. It adopts a high-rigidity carbon fiber gantry with integrated active vibration isolation, paired with the high-speed iQWave2 data acquisition controller to deliver ultra-stable, low-noise force and displacement detection across six orders of magnitude. The system is equipped with the standard InForce 1000 electromagnetic actuator offering up to 1 N maximum load for rigid hard films, with an optional InForce 50 low-load actuator available for ultra-soft polymers, hydrogels and biological samples.
