Why is active vibration isolation more effective than passive vibration isolation?
Passive isolation platforms (such as air flotation, rubber, etc.) have inherent low-frequency resonance peaks, which usually amplify vibrations within the range of 1-5Hz. LS-1200 actively generates reverse cancellation force through piezoelectric sensors and drivers, without low-frequency resonance peaks, providing effective isolation from 0.5Hz ultra-low frequency, fundamentally solving the problems of electron microscopy image drift and resolution degradation.
Do I need to renovate the laboratory to install LS-1200?
Usually not needed. LS-1200 modular ultra-thin design, directly placed under the original electron microscope bracket or embedded for installation. Most SEM can be installed without special lifting equipment, and the instrument profile is basically unchanged. It is quickly completed by professional engineers on site.
What are the benefits of upgrading LFS? Is it worth upgrading?
The LFS upgrade reduces the isolation starting point to 0.5Hz, significantly improving the isolation efficiency in the low frequency range of 2.5Hz-10Hz (from 97% to 99% in 5Hz). If the laboratory is located on a low floor, close to traffic arteries or large equipment, with severe low-frequency vibration, LFS upgrade can bring significant improvement in image quality.
