Can SZ-100V2 measure high concentration samples? Do you need dilution?
Okay. The design of SZ-100V2 allows for direct measurement of samples up to 40 wt% without the need for dilution. The unique 173 degree backscattered optical path is particularly suitable for high concentration and turbid samples, avoiding interference from multiple scattering. For low concentration samples such as proteins, a 90 degree optical path provides higher sensitivity. Dual light path automatic optimization, covering the full range from ppm level to high concentration.
What is the practical significance of Zeta potential measurement?
Zeta potential is a key parameter for measuring the stability of dispersed systems. Usually, a Zeta potential absolute value greater than 30mV indicates system stability, while a value below 20mV is prone to agglomeration or settling. By adjusting pH, ionic strength, or adding surfactants, the Zeta potential can be optimized to achieve long-term stable dispersion in product development such as coatings, inks, and ceramic slurries.
Does molecular weight measurement require additional attachments?
No need. SZ-100V2 directly measures absolute molecular weight (Mw) and second virility coefficient (A2) through static light scattering (Debye point method). It comes standard with a standard sample cell and a range of concentration samples. Molecular weight can also be estimated from DLS particle size using the Mark Houwink equation.
