Measurement principle of KRUSS DSA100 series droplet shape analyzer:

The optical droplet shape analysis method is adopted: the contours of seat droplets, suspended droplets and captured bubbles are captured by high-definition cameras, and the contact Angle, surface tension and interfacial tension are calculated by using mathematical models such as Young-Laplace, conic sections, circle fitting and the high-width method. And the surface energy of the solid and its polarity/dispersion/acid-base/hydrogen bond components are calculated through multi-liquid tests.

The DSA100 series is equipped with a software-controlled three-axis automatic sample stage, which can quickly and accurately move the sample to the preset measurement position. This enables it to conduct a complete and standardized analysis, which is highly ideal for quality control.
