Measurement Principle

Spectral reflectance method: White light illuminates the coating, and the reflected light at the upper and lower interfaces interferes to form a spectrum. By analyzing the spectral oscillation frequency, within 1 second the thickness, refractive index (n), and extinction coefficient (k) are calculated. The F10-HC contact probe tightly attaches to the sample, isolating the reflection interference from the back of the transparent substrate to ensure accurate hard coating data.
