Seed coating measurement solution - Filmetrics F3-s1310 Film Thickness Measuring instrument
Seed coating refers to the process of evenly covering the surface of seeds with a seed coating agent containing various components such as insecticides, fungicides, compound fertilizers, trace elements, plant growth regulators, slow-release agents and film-forming agents in a certain proportion by mechanical or manual methods, forming a smooth and firm film. As the seeds start to sprout, germinate, emerge and grow, the effective components in the coating are gradually absorbed by the plant roots and conducted to all parts of the seedling plants, enabling the seeds and seedlings to control seed-borne bacteria, soil-borne bacteria and underground and above-ground pests. The micro-fertilizers in the drug film can fully exert their efficacy before the base fertilizer takes advantage. Therefore, the coated seeds grow vigorously during the seedling stage, with dark green leaves, well-developed root systems and strong plants, thus achieving the goal of increasing production and income.

For the thickness control of the coating film, Filmetrics F3-s1310 can be used to test the thickness of the seed coating film.Test of seed coating using Filmetrics F3-s1310:

The seeds need to be fixed and tested on a smooth surface.

The thickness result obtained by testing with F3-s1310 was 58.66 microns
