HERZ UT-1000A Active Shock Absorption System

The HERZ UT-1000A platform offers active vibration isolation performance (starting from 0.5Hz) for electron microscopes and similar large research instruments. The HERZ UT-1000A platform helps users obtain more information from the microscope by eliminating destructive low-frequency vibration noise that interferes with measurements. The HERZ UT-1000A platform adopts a modular design, simplifying the installation process and thus eliminating the need to install dedicated lifting equipment for most instruments during installation.
Piezoelectric sensors and drivers
 Function
The active shock absorption range is 1 to 200 Hz (starting from 0.5Hz when paired with the LFS system)
Passive shock absorption mode ≥200 Hz
Isolate vibrations from six degrees of freedom
No low-frequency resonance
Piezoelectric sensors and drivers
Internal feedback loop damping resonance
 Design and Maintenance
Compact and modular design
Easy to install and requires no long-term maintenance. After installation, it basically does not change the overall outline of the microscope. Customized for each electron microscope individually
Popular apps
The Herz UT-1000A platform is widely used in high-load microscopes and other precision research instruments sensitive to low-frequency vibration and noise. The common application of the Herz-UT-1000A platform is electron microscopy, which supports scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The flat module design of the Herz UT-1000A platform is beneficial as it simplifies the installation process and eliminates the need for continuous maintenance.

HERZ UT-1000A Supporting A FEI Titan TEM

Due to the modular design of the HERZ UT-1000A platform, the 3,500-kilogram Titan can be supported by four shock-absorbing moduls. This image depicts a FEI Titan TEM supported by the HERZ UT-1000A platform, which was previously disturbed by low-frequency vibration noise.

UT-1000A Supporting A FEI QEMSCAN 650 SEM

The HERZ UT-1000A platform is usually paired with scanning electron microscopes, which come in various sizes and shapes. The advantage of the HERZ UT-1000A platform is that they do not require professional hoisting equipment or rigging systems for installation. Only the internal leveling feet of the SEMs need to be raised high enough (5 inches) to place the anti-vibration modules below. As can be seen from the previous image, a FEI QEMSCAN 650 SEM is installed on the UT-1000A platform that supports the SEM frame. After installation, the SEM quickly began to obtain better imaging quality from measurements than before.

UT-1000A Supporting A Carl Zeiss SIGMA VP SEM

The commonly used shock absorption solution for Carl Zeiss scanning electron microscopes is to pair it with UT-1000A. Due to its design, the internal frame is easy to use. The UT-1000A platform can be installed within one hour without the need for hoisting equipment. The above picture shows the combination of Carl Zeiss SIGMA VP with the UT-1000A platform.
